CRC is family owned and operated, proudly serving Illinois and Wisconsin communities since 1982. Although we began as Cedar Roofing Company, we quickly found that our customers were looking for much more than just cedar products.
Over the years, our company’s services have expanded to include asphalt, slate, tile, metal, flat and commercial roofing as well as custom metalwork, gutters, siding, skylights and more. As our company has grown, so has our reputation as a leader in quality workmanship. The vast majority of our employees have been with us for +20 years. We strive to expand and develop the skills that have earned us this reputation through on-going education and on-the-job training for all our employees. We are proud to bring our years of experience and technical capability to every project we undertake, especially YOUR next project.

“It’s been over 40 years if you can believe it! In 1982, it started with my small installment team and a maintenance truck looking for a service call. Since then we’ve serviced thousands of homes, cultivated our finest team and proudly served Illinois & Wisconsin communities for over four decades.” When he’s not bringing beautiful projects to life, Matt loves spending time with his family and being outdoors.
Brock Hopma
Project Manager
Meet Brock! He is one of our project managers and has been with the company since 2016. When he's not in the office or onsite, he enjoys watching his daughter play soccer, fishing and golfing. He loves getting outdoors and traveling with his family and their chocolate lab! He specializes in Residential Roofing.
Keith MacNaught
Senior Project Manager + Sales Manager
Meet Keith! He is one of our Senior Project Managers and Estimators and has been with CRC since 2006. He is one of the three Keith’s that work at Cedar Roofing Company. He enjoys golfing, fishing, being outdoors and BBQing with his family. He specializes in Residential Roofing, synthetic/cedar procurement and overseeing Project Management.
Dan Kunz
Project Manager
Meet Dan! He is one of our project managers and has been with the company since 2016.When he's not in the office or onsite, you can find him strumming guitar or at a Cubs game. He grew up in the Lake Zurich area and loves to return to his hometown for projects. He specializes in New Construction, Flat Roofing and Residential Roofing.

Meet Dan! He is one of our project managers and has been with the team since August 2020. Outside of work he likes to golf, coaching his daughter’s softball and son’s baseball teams! He specializes in Residential Roofing.
Keith Zersen
Operations and Project Manager
Meet Keith! He is one of our project managers and oversees operations. He loves working with our talented and dedicated team for nearly three decades.He loves music and playing guitar, and used to be a competitive motocross racer!
Keith Barrett
Superintendent, Project Manager & Safety Coordinator
Meet Keith! He is a Superintendent and Project Manager since starting with the team in 2022. He joins CRC after two decades in the trade. When he's not in the office or onsite, he enjoys all things outdoors including camping with his wife and 2 sons. He specializes in Residential Roofing, Craftsmanship and Safety Coordination.
Kim Braeseke
CFO
Meet Kim! She is our Chief Financial Officer and has been with the company since 1997. “I like engaging in community outreach and working directly with our summer interns to help them gain valuable experience! I also enjoy building strong relationships with our third party vendors which ultimately benefit our customers.” Outside of work, she enjoys being on the water with her family and playing with her family dog, Tiller (pictured above).

Accounting Specialist
Meet Sandy! She has been our accounting specialist since 2005. When she’s not enjoying family time, getting outside or doing cross fit, most of our clients have talked to her about handling the accounts of their projects.
Stanley Buck
Project Manager
Meet Stan! He’s been with our team since 2021, first starting off part-time, but is now with us full-time as a project manager. In lieu of his project responsibilities, Stan also helps with capturing our drone footage and is currently finishing school! Outside of work, he likes to fish, golf, hang out with friends and play guitar.
Tyler Haines
Service Manager
Meet Tyler! He’s been with the team since 2013 as a Service Manager. If you’ve been by our office, Tyler is often the first face to greet you! He loves music and going to concerts.
